TECADI Labs ("we", "our", or "us") operates the CapyDesk mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use CapyDesk:
- Account information: Name, email address, and user ID — provided by your organization's administrator when your account is created.
- User-generated content: Tickets, comments, time entries, and attachments you create within the App.
- Authentication data: Login credentials or Single Sign-On (SSO) tokens used to authenticate your session.
- App usage data: Interactions within the App such as screens viewed and features used, stored locally on your device (e.g., theme preference, language setting, dismissed announcements).
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your location data.
- We do not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs.
- We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
- The App does not contain ads.
- The App does not offer in-app purchases.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to provide and operate the CapyDesk helpdesk service:
- Authentication: To verify your identity and grant access to your organization's helpdesk.
- App functionality: To display tickets, comments, assets, dashboards, and other helpdesk features.
- Notifications: To send email notifications related to ticket activity (if enabled by your organization).
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is only accessible to:
- Authorized users within your organization (based on role-based access controls).
- Your organization's administrators, who manage user accounts and helpdesk settings.
5. Data Storage and Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit).
- Data is stored on secure servers with tenant-level isolation — your organization's data is separated from other organizations.
- Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-provided encrypted storage.
- Sensitive credentials (e.g., passwords) are hashed and never stored in plain text.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
- Your data is retained for as long as your organization maintains an active CapyDesk account.
- You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting your organization's administrator.
- Organization administrators can export and delete tenant data through the CapyDesk admin panel.
- When an organization's account is terminated, all associated data is deleted.
7. Children's Privacy
CapyDesk is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App is designed for enterprise use by authorized employees and agents.
8. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with third-party services configured by your organization's administrator, such as:
- Microsoft Azure Active Directory: For Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication.
- Atlassian Jira: For issue tracking integration.
These integrations are optional and governed by the respective third-party privacy policies.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you (via your profile in the App).
- Request correction of inaccurate data (contact your administrator).
- Request deletion of your data (contact your administrator).
- Withdraw consent by discontinuing use of the App.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
